“The Education System is Broken”: A parent’s cop out.

Which one am I? A parent who wants to figure out how to educate his kids, or one who wants to outsource education of his kids?

What exactly am I asking for?

My kids will be happy if I send them to a school, or my kids will be happy if I work together with the school to nurture our kids?

Do we want a more efficient (that takes less work) way to nurture our children, or do we want a better (potentially harder) way to nurture our children?

These questions are trivial, but the fact that we think these questions are trivial, and that we choose not to follow through with the simple answers to these questions, is partly (if not mainly) why … as the cliché would proclaim, “Our education system is broken”.
